The 1997 is 'The Apprentice' in Graham's The Cellar Master's Trilogy – a collection of three Graham's Single Harvest Tawny Ports that celebrate the skills and experience honed by some to age wines over decades.

Lovely aromas of marmalade with traces of vanilla, soft caramel, and hints of honey and raisins. Bright red fruit flavours are rounded by cask-ageing but still fresh and vital with an underlying citric acidity which gives the wine balance and poise.

Graham's was founded in Porto by brothers William and John Graham in 1820 with the ambition of making exceptional ports. Through the 19th century, Graham’s became one of the most highly regarded port producers and one of the first to invest in the Upper Douro Valley. In 1890, Graham’s acquired the prized Quinta dos Malvedos in the heart of the Douro and built a small winery on the estate – where all the ports have been produced ever since.
