Quinta do Vesúvio 2011 - Red

2011 was an exceptional year in the Douro DOC Region. The good weather during the two months prior to the harvest allowed the production of fantastic batches, foreshadowing the great wines that would be produced.  

Quinta do Vesúvio is widely regarded as one of the most iconic properties in the Douro, with a magnificent estate house and chapel overlooking the river. The estate dates to 1823 when the first vines were planted and construction began on the winery, which is still in use today for producing the property’s Vintage Ports in granite foot-treading tanks.
