Powerful and substantial on the palate, with spicy tannins underscoring the compact, sophisticated structure. Classy and charming with a good balance struck between grip, complexity, and refinement. An excellent gastronomic, food-friendly wine.
Quinta do Vesúvio is widely regarded as one of the most iconic properties in the Douro, with a magnificent estate house and chapel overlooking the river. The estate dates to 1823 when the first vines were planted and construction began on the winery, which is still in use today for producing the property’s Vintage Ports in granite foot-treading tanks.
