Expressive aromas of raspberry, kirsch, and pomegranate with lifted and fresh floral elements in the background revealing wildflowers combined with pure, forest fragrances. Very appealing palate — exuberant, rounded, and fine-textured with red fruit flavours and some fine acidity providing precision and elegance. ‘Comboio do Vesúvio’ (Vesúvio Train) is unoaked to underscore the wine’s youthful, fruit forward profile.

Quinta do Vesúvio is widely regarded as one of the most iconic properties in the Douro, with a magnificent estate house and chapel overlooking the river. The estate dates to 1823 when the first vines were planted and construction began on the winery, which is still in use today for producing the property’s Vintage Ports in granite foot-treading tanks.
